Trevathan Family Pictures

A few weeks ago we had some family pictures made by an awesome photographer in Nashville. She was absolutely wonderful and really took my favorite type of pictures. More candid than "posey". There are some really great ones of Hailey and Mary Kathryn and a few of the family turned out really good as well. She will be taking Bella's baby portraits in the studio in December as they will require much more one on one time. Can't wait to see those as well. As it is, I am having a hard time deciding which pictures to choose. I will post them when I finally make up my mind! Click the link below to check out this video made of our photo shoot.....

Had a blast at the State Fair!:)

On Thursday Michael, Hailey, Mary Kathryn, Bella and I took off for a day at the state fair. It has literally been years since we last went, but we decided the girls are at a good age to really enjoy the games and kiddie rides, so we made a family outing of it. We didn't have very high expectations considering we had a 3 month old in tow, but Bella did awesome and we really ended up having a great time.

The girls loved the whole atmosphere and were super excited to ride all the rides.

Michael and I definitely were loving the food! Between the two of us we ate a turkey leg, roasted corn, fried snicker bar, fried oreos, chocolate covered banana, steak and cheese on pita and candy apples! Oh well, only happens once a year!

Hailey and Mary Kathryn had snow cones, ice cream, corn dogs, and candy apples. Needless to say, we were absolutely stuffed when we left. I figure we burnt at least half of those calories just on the mile long trek to and from the car! The weather was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better time:)

Bella is 3 months!!

I know I say this every month when I update her growth, but really I can't believe she is 3 months already. It doesn't seem like it has been that long, but it also seems like she has always been a part of our family. So here is her 3 month update!

Growth- She weighs 12 pounds now!

Feedings- 4-5 ounces of breastmilk every 3 hours.
( She only drinks a couple of ounces at a time from a bottle which means more
feedings. Luckily, she doesn't have to take a bottle too often!)

Sleep- She sleeps 1-1/2 hours every 3 hours during the day. At night
she goes down around 7:30pm and wakes between 2 and 3am to
feed and is up for the day at 7am.

Play- Bella is loving her playmat, tummytime surfboard and her sisters!

Development- "Talking", laughing, holding her head up well, and the discovery
of her hands! She loves to look at them, put them in her mouth, and
try to grab at things.

*Favorite thing to do this month*- Pull hair!!

She loves to grab a fistful of long hair and pull. Lately, she has been grabbing the hair at the back of her head and when she trys to pull her arm away, she screams, not realizing she is pulling her own hair. Poor thing!

Bella does great at going along for the ride as we continue on with our busy schedule. She even does well driving to Greenville to ECCATS every week and watching the girls cheer and tumble for 3 hours. In fact, she sits at the window laughing and smiling as she watches the girls and guys flipping and being thrown in the air. (Look for a video and pics next month of Hailey's first competition. A lot of hard work has gone into preparing!)

We are just loving our Bella and as Hailey is known for saying "She is just to cute to be real!".

Busy week!!

Well, it has been a busy week around our house! Michael has been on night shift and I went back to work on a night shift as well. So needless to say I have been having to adjust our schedules and do a lot of juggling this past week. But I think we have figured out how to trade off on sleeping during the day and not disturb the girl's routine. Luckily, I am only picking up about one shift a week so I really can't complain too much! I get to be with the kids 95% of the time and also get to get out and have a little me time. (You know you have a house full of children when going to work is "me" time!). I am very blessed to be able to basically be a stay at home mom and thank the Lord that he has arranged things to work out that way. He knows whats best for our family!

So once I got my sleep on Friday the girls and I went and picked up Disney's Beauty and the Beast movie and a pizza. We had a great time snuggling and enjoying our movie night! Here is a picture of Hailey and Mary Kathryn watching the movie. They LOVED it and have watched it a couple more times since!

And here are a few pictures and a video the girls and I took of Bella over the weekend....

And just being a Happy Girl!!!

Congrats to the Tarboro Police Department K9 officers!

I just wanted to take a minute to congratulate the four dedicated and hard working K-9 officers of the Tarboro Police Department; Keith and Santos, Jesse and Bullitt, Mike and Keno, and Michael and Tazer. What a wonderful accomplishment to recieve 1st place K-9 team at the USPCA PD1 K-9 trials! It is such a joy to see their commitment and training pay off in the ultimate way. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful group of officers and K9's serving our community!
I wish I had a picture of the team trophy to post, but they will be recieving them at a later date. Until then I have posted a picture of the 5th place overall trophy Michael and Tazer recieved this week. I have to say it took a bit of persuading to get Michael to let me mention and post the picture but I reminded him that this is my way of scrapbooking and documenting our lives and I don't want to leave out such a great accomplishment. (And congrats to Mike and Keno for getting 2nd place overall!)

On a side note, I also want to acknowledge the sacrifice of their wives who keep things running and care for children not only during the 4 days they were out of town for trials but also all the nights and days they are out working, training and protecting and serving! And thank you to Trina for being there for me and the girls in case I needed a hand. Luckily we stuck to our routine and did just fine but it was still nice to know she was there if I needed her! Plus, I had such great little helpers at home as evidenced by the picture below!:)
